Mian goal of this paper is improving dynamic behavior of power system in the presence of Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems (FACTS) devices. Improvement of dynamic behavior is based on improving angle and magnitude of voltage profile, reducing power loss and arising loadability. To do this, two types of the most common types of these system have been selected and placed; which are: Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) and Static Var Compensator (SVC). Cuckoo Optimization Algorithm (COA) has been used to solve this problem and simulation performed in MATLAB software environment. Case study has been performed by simulating on IEEEE standard system by introducing based on the numbers of UPFCs and SVCs.
