Despite the aforementioned advantages of PHEVs, the connection of PHEVs to the power network because of stochastic charging performance of PHEVs new challenges will bring for distribution grid such as feeder overloading, and increment of loss. In order to handling the uncertainties related to PHEV charging performances in variant charging frameworks Monte Carlo simulation is used. In this paper, in order to diminish the negative impact of PHEV charging on performance of distribution network the strategy of demand response (DR) is offered. In the offered DR methodology, all consumers can determine and control their loads. In fact, in this methodology the customer can shift controllable load from peak hours with higher prices to off-peak periods with lower prices. Also, the offered DR methodology can fulfill the function of reducing peak with regard to variant PHEV penetration while preserving consumer comfort levels. For performing DR programs, a real time pricing (RTP) model is used to investigate the impacts of PHEVs charging on distribution network operations considering a 33-node test feeder with 11.3%, 35%, and 45% PHEV penetrations in residential loads. Obtained results verify the efficacy of proposed DR program (i.e. RTP) to ameliorate the system Performance considering PHEV charging loads.
