Recent Database Security Approaches: A survey

By the development of the technology the database systems have been developed in last decade along these developments. As one part of our nowadays life security is one of the important issues in this field. As organizations and companies are now highly depending on the database for their activities, security models are required to develop for these databases. The essential purpose of database security is to prevent information exposure for uncertified users and modification data while ensuring the accessibility of the necessary services. Many methods have been proposed for ensuring the security of databases. Therefor it makes it difficult for users to find the appropriate security application to secure their database. In this paper we introduce different existing models for database security and different papers that have used these models in recent decade. We also discuss the threats and security methods in DBMS provided and we talk about their methods and importance.
