Due to the increased use in vehicles manufactured by car companies to solely utilize the internal combustion engines (ICEs), several challenges associated with the environment have appeared. Nowadays, the air pollution and greenhouse gases from one side and the Sun’s radiations from the other side are the main reasons of catastrophic climate changes. As a result, to reduce the air pollution and minimize the greenhouse gases, the governments have regulated several rules and policies to encourage both industries to focus on manufacturing hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and individuals to purchase these vehicles. Therefore, full and hybrid electric vehicles are taking the place of ICE-based cars by using their capabilities to supply enough energy and run and operate the vehicle with battery packs. This paper mainly focuses on the electrification of an electric vehicle by considering all the design parameters and integrating with Lithium-ion battery packs as the energy storage system. The precise calculations have been performed using charge and discharge rates and chemical reactions, which lead to demonstrate a promising battery design for a light weighted and hence increasing the range of driving the vehicle.
