    In this paper, a collocation scheme is applied to obtain the solution of the fractional Volterra s model for population growth of a species in a closed system which is in the form of an integro-differential equation. To improve the rate of convergence of the method for fractional problems, fractional transformed Chebyshev/Legendre functions are introduced. Also, appropriate representations of these bases are given to simplify the computations.
