This paper is devoted to study the characterization of extreme order statistics by using the concept of conditional entropy. The results are obtained when lifetimes of components are independent and identically distributed. We first provide an expression for the joint entropy of extreme order statistics when lifetimes of components having the common standard uniform distribution.
