سازوكار توسعه‌ي مهارت‌هاي آموزشي مدرسان مهندسي ايران

Mechanism of professional development, for Iranian engineering faculty members

در دنياي امروز، ارتقاي كيفيت آموزش‌هاي ارايه شده، مهم‌ترين فعاليت مراكز آموزشي پيشرو است. بهترين معيار براي آگاهي از كيفيت يك برنامه آموزشي، ارزشيابي آن ‌توسط ملاك‌هاي مورد قبول جهاني است. ميدان رقابت در سطح ملي و بين‌المللي به‌صورتي است كه مراكزي كه در ارتقاي كيفيت آموزش‌هاي خود، ناموفق باشند، بايد به‌گونه‌اي هزينه آنرا بپردازند. در اين مقاله سازوكاري براي ارتقاي كيفيت برنامه‌هاي آموزش مهندسي كشور، از طريق توسعۀ مهارت‌هاي آموزشي اعضاي هيات علمي ارايه شده و نتايجي كه از به‌كارگيري آن در چند دانشگاه كشور به‌دست آمده، ارايه مي‌شود. طرح جامع ارتقاي مهارت‌هاي حرفه‌اي اساتيد، دستياران آموزشي و مسئولان آموزش، كه در اين مقاله بخشي از نتايج آن عرضه مي‌شود، شامل طراحي و اجراي شانزده كارگاه‌ آموزشي، به‌همراه يك دوره آموزشي يك هفته‌‌‌اي براي اعضاي هيات علمي؛ و همچنين طراحي درس تحصيلات تكميلي «آموزش مهندسي» و نگارش كتاب درسي آن، مي‌باشد.

The internationally recognized and valid approach on measuring the quality of higher education institutions’ is through the process of accreditation. Leading engineering education programs adapt their curriculum and learning objectives to successfully meet the ongoing requirements of accreditation process and to equip graduates with competencies and skills that are expected of them in the workforce. Such adaptation usually becomes one of the major tasks of faculty members. Moreover a culture is established such that centers that fail to improve the quality of their education will suffer by its drawbacks. In this paper, a mechanism and program is proposed to facilitate the quality control of engineering education programs by training and strengthening the educational skills of faculty members. The outcomes of implementing this program in several Iranian universities are also presented. The comprehensive faculty and teaching assistants development program consists of design and implementation of 16 workshops, one-week training course, design of a graduate level “Engineering Education degree course and writing and publishing its textbook.
