Organic dyes are used in a series of industries and seriously damage water in ecosystems [1]. Majority of the organic and industrial dyes are toxic and poisonous to environment and organisms [2]. Furthermore, they are stable in various conditions including in the presence of light, high temperature, acid and basic media and microbial attack [3]. Thus, the removal of organic dyes from the environment is a serious and critical problem. Among the several procedures for removal of the dyes such as chemical, biological, filtration and similar procedures, adsorption is higher applicable because of simplicity, cost and scalability [4]. Graphene and graphene oxide are environmentally benign compounds and mainly constructs from carbon especially benzene ring sheets. In recent decades they have been used in numerous research fields and the study on their properties and derivatives are significant route in researches [5]. In this research work, graphene oxide sulfonic acid has been used to remove Eriochrome Black T dye from water. The effects of pH, amounts of adsorbent, initial dye concentration, time and kinetics of adsorption have been discussed.
