Tau is a key protein in the pathogenesis of various neurodegenerative diseases, which are categorized as tauopathies.we report on the interaction of tau with taxol using surface plasmon resonance (SPR). In according to modify Au slide with carboxyl functional group, 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid (MUA) was used. After activation of carboxylic groups, tau was immobilized on to the MUA . The SPR analysis showed dose-response sensograms of tau upon increasing concentration of taxol . affinity unit(KD) for taxol were 2.74×10­-8 M.SPR can be considered as useful automatic tool for quantification of taxol interaction with tau and it can deliver precise real-time kinetic data.
