The adsorption capacity was examined of two different types of natural adsorbents .perlite is a glassy volcanic rock of rhyolitic composition that usually contains between 2 % and 6%waterand natural zeolite which is widely used due to its abundance and low cost for the environment remediation and restoration. The Result showed that the amount of sorption capacity was obtained 3.5and 2.21 g/g for expanded perlite and natural zeolite respectively.These results obtained by putting 10g crude oil on a sea water 100mL of Persian gulf sea water at 25˚c with 1g weight of the adsorbents for 10 and 15 min for each respectively. The characteristics of the expanded perlite and natural zeolite were investigated by X-Ray fluorescence and BET analyses.
