The purpose of this research is to identify and rank effective indicators in strategic alignment between organization strategy and portfolio management in oil and gas project-based organizations of Iran. This is an applied and exploratory research. The statistical population of the research is the experts and project managers of this industry, 110 of them were selected as samples. In the first stage, by using the literature of the previous issues, the alignment indices in different industries were identified, and then in the form of a questionnaire, viewpoints of oil gas experts on impact of these indices were asked
