شعر سمبوليك يا نمادين از جريانهاي مهم شعر معاصر است .بسياري از منتقدان و نظريه پردازان، از عوامل گرايش شاعران معاصر به شعر نمادين و سمبوليك، تغيير فضاي سياسي و اجتماعي جامعه و اختناق و خفقان شديد نظام مستبد حاكم بر آن است. علاوه بر اين ديدگاه، ميتوان به عوامل ديگري چون آشنايي شاعران با جريانهاي شعري غرب و مكتب سمبوليسم، تغييرديدگاه و نگرش شاعران به جهان هستي و جامعه و محيط، آفرينش ابهام هنري، وعمق بخشيدن به شعر اشاره كرد. در واقع، از هدفهاي كاربرد سمبل در شعر شاعران معاصر، مثل يوسف الخال، خلق بافتي مبهم و شعري عميق، تاثير در مخاطب و شركتدادن او در آفرينش معناي شعر، حركت شعر از حالت تك معنايي، و واداشتن خواننده و مخاطب به درنگ و تامل در معنا و مفهوم شعر است. از اين رو ،در اين جستار بر آن شديم كه تا چند نماد از شعر يوسف الخال رابه تصوير كشيده وسير فكري ان رابه نظاره بنشينيم

The symbolic poem is one of the significant traditions of modern poetry. Most of critics and theorists regard the underlying factors of inclination of contemporary poets toward symbolic poems to be change in political and social setting of the societies as well as severe oppression of totalitarian ruling system in them. In addition, one could point to other factors such as familiarity of poets with western poetic tradition including symbolism, change in approach of poets to universe, society and setting, creation of artistic ambiguity and assigning further depth to poem. In essence, the objective of using symbol in the poems of contemporary poets such as Yosuf Al-khal is creating an ambiguous context and a deep poem, affecting the audience and participating him in developing the meaning of the poem, releasing poem of its single meaning, and engaging the reader and audience in understanding and interpretation of meaning and implications of a poem. As a result, the objectives are to highlight some symbols from Yosuf Al-khal’s poems and to review the intellectual evolution of these literary pieces.
