MCM-41 is one of the famous groups of mesoporous materials which contain highly ordered
hexagonal/cylandrical pores. They are used as adsorbents, ion exchangers and supports. Here spherical
MCM-41 is synthesized using the surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium Bromide (CTABr) as the structure
directing agent. SAX, FTIR, and SEM analysis confirmed the formation of these materials.
