A modelling for adsorption of p-xylene and Isomers, Co2 in MFI membrane has been performed.
Combined heat and mass transfer problem is simulated by software packet Matlab (Matrix
Laboratory).Mass transfer is described by micropore diffusion while heat transfer is described in terms
of Conduction and Convection. It was found that for low diffusion coefficient such as p-xylene and
Isomers, time required to reach the maximum amount of the Component is high and thus it can be
consider as isothermal system while for carbon dioxide (high diffusion) isothermal condition was not a
realistic model.
