In order to reach more efficiency on algae-based
biofuel production and also reduction of GHG emission as much
as possible during production process, carbon capture and storage
system (CCSS) that provides producing carbon-negative biodiesel
should be considered. Besides, apart from biodiesel as final
product, there are other products which are achievable by
microalgae to biodiesel production. In this paper, we propose a
deterministic MILP model for biomass to biodiesel and coproducts
(electricity and Omega-3) supply chain network design
considering (CCSS), which is known as 4G biofuel, in order to
maximize profit. According to numerical results, suggested model
determines optimal number of facilities and pipelines to be
established and also optimal flow of raw material and final
products to be transported.
