Downlink of a cellular network is considered where the base stations (BSs) and users have multiple antennas. To evaluate average coverage and sum-rate of the network, stochastic geometry based model for BS and user distribution in the network has been considered. Closed-form terms for average coverage and sum-rate is derived and using the derived expressions the benefits of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) diversity techniques are quantified.
