Foams are such materials with complex mechanical behavior have attracted extensive investigations by researchers in the last decades. Commonly, foams indicate very nonlinear behavior in load bearing performance which originates from their micromechanical structure. The selected elastomeric foam in this study was an EVA based foam blended by polyurethane that was studied under tension and compression loads. This work made a set of laboratory tests on the specimens according to ASTM standard along with numerical simulation in “ABAQUS” program. Also various proposed constitutive laws by researchers were applied in the FE models. The validity of numerical models was controlled with the experimental data. In the conclusion part, the most appropriate model was introduced for investigating of overall study of foam behavior.
