In this paper, we address the problem of observer based controller design for polytopic linear parameter varying (LPV) continuous-time systems to guarantee the closed-loop stability of the system in the absence of disturbance and to ensure a prescribed induced L2-norm performance criteria when disturbance exists. Lyapunov function analysis method underlies the observer-based control design. Using singular value decomposition (SVD) of the output matrix of the LPV system, sufficient conditions in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMI) are presented. The efficiency of the proposed approach is demonstrated through a numerical example with simulation results.
