Electro-degradation based processes such as anodic oxidation and Electro-Fenton methods are fundamentally similar to each other, and some variables control the type of electro-degradation. In this research effect of aeration, wastewater pH, the concentration of iron salt and applied voltage considered using a split-plot experimental plan. The results indicated applied voltage and pH have a significant influence on dye removal of wastewater sample. A response surface model presented for effect of the mentioned variables simulation. The model shows appropriate agreement with experimental results so that R2 is equal to 0.992 and relative root mean square deviation is 0.1%. Based on the model an optimization route applied and in the optimal condition of highest aeration level, wastewater pH=9, iron salt concentration= 0.01 molar and voltage of 11 volt total dye removal occurred. The results of this work may be used in designing discoloration units based on the Electro-Fenton or anodic oxidation.
