Age at implantation is one of the effective factors on speech production outcomes in cochlear implanted (CI) children (Connor, C.M. and et.al: 2006). Proper production of vowels is of great importance in speech intelligibility. Vowels are not only structural blocks of words, but also they form plosive consonants. Some researchers also believe that improving vowel production is 41-53% effective in speech intelligibility (Monsen RB: 1976). Therefore, speech and language pathologists are interested in modification of vowel production in deaf children (Zamani, P., and et.al:2014). The purpose of this study was to determine the role of age at implantation on the production of the three Persian vowels i.e (/a/, /u/, /i/) in CI children
