The policy of ‘Exporting Islamic Revolution of Iran’ And the challenges in India

The Islamic Revolution of Iran marked an important epoch in the 20th century. The revolution having its roots in the Islamic teachings possesses many exclusive features, making Islamic revolution different from other revolutions. Raising from the core of Islamic teachings this revolution enjoys one of the important teachings of Islam i.e. Propagation or Tabligh. This unique doctrine of Islam adds an important feature to the Islamic Revolution of Iran, commonly referred to in the terminology of international affairs as “Exporting Revolution”. Ever since, this issue of exporting Islamic revolution had been a burning topic and with this feature comes great responsibility and poses great challenges in terms of the international community. This paper discusses the theory of “Exporting Revolution” which is now an important foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This paper sheds light on how the founders of the revolution explained this policy and how the leaders adopted it and the way it affected other countries and communities. The important feature of this paper is to discuss the policy of ‘Exportation of the Islamic Revolution of Iran’ with a descriptive and analytical approach and provide an insight into the effects and challenges faced by the Shia community in India. Along with books and literature on the internet as sources of information, interviews with experts has also played an important role in finding out the current affairs and conditions.
