Dialect and age: first language acquisition on SLA motivation

Abstract: The study intended to examine the effect of first language acquisition on the second Language motivation. Also, the study examined whether the issue s second language learning related to the target dialect or limited in the basic vocabulary? Do ages effect on language learning? The purpose of this study was to examine these reasons (age, dialect, and learning) in the first language. To this end, 240 per-advance learners who selected through a language Institute in Shiraz, and They formed into two groups: control and experimental. Then a pre-test, treatment, and post-test design used. The gained data which analyzed using SPSS software showed there were statically significant differences between the control and experimental groups. The result from this research project suggested that learning the second language associated with the first language acquisition.
