خانه به عنوان يكي از فضاهايي كه اولين و مهمترين مكان زندگي انسان است ،بايد امكان ارتباط مناسب و مداوم با عناصر طبيعي را فراهم آورد تا علاوه بر استفاده از مزاياي آنها مانند حس نشاط و آرامش و امنيت ،انسان با مشاهده آنها در همه حال ياد معبود يكتايي كه خالق اين نظم و زيبايي است، قرار گيرد،كه حياط مركزي در مسكن ايراني –اسلامي نقش بسزايي در اين امر ايفا مي كند . متاسفانه حذف عنصر با ارزش حياط مركزي، در معماري خانه‌هاي امروزه، سلسله مراتب حركت بين فضاها را از بين مي‌برد و انسان را از طبيعت و اين عناصر دور مي‌كند،لذا اين مسيله حرمت و امنيت رواني خانه را كه اسلام تاكيد فراوان بدان دارد ،مختل كرده ومشكلات بيرون را به درون خانه مي‌كشاند. از اين رو دراين مقاله سعي ميگردد كه مباحث به تفصيل بصورت تاريخي – توصيفي – تشريحي – تحليلي در معماري مسكن ايراني اسلامي بررسي شود كه جمع آوري اطلاعات از نوع كتابخانه اي با مطالعه اسناد سخت و نرم ميباشد. هدف اين مقاله در نظر گرفتن فضايي هر چند كوچك به عنوان حياط براي خانه،با حفظ عناصر طبيعي امري ضروري است.

The purpose of this article is to consider the space, though small, as a courtyard for the home, with the preservation of natural elements.
