Spirulina, a filamentous cyanobacterium, exhibits various therapeutic functions such as antioxidant, anticancer, anti-allergic and antidiabetic. This cyanobacterium can also be used as feed and food additives. The aim of this study was todetermine whether the antioxidant properties of Spirulina can be related to its effect on the activity of catalase, as an enzyme involved in regulation of oxidative stress
