Investigating the Effect of Emotional Intelligence and Professional Ethics on Time Management of Project Managers

چكيده هدف پژوهش حاضر بررسي تاثير هوش هيجاني بر توانايي مديريت زمان مديران پروژه هاي عمراني مي باشد. اين پژوهش به صورت كاربردي صورت پذيرفته است و در بين روش هاي مختلف توصيفي- پيمايشي، روش همبستگي كه مبتني بر مدلسازي معادلات ساختاري مي باشد. جامعه آماري مديران پروژه عمراني در شيراز مي باشد كه تعداد نمونه بر اساس جدول مورگان برابر 108 نفر است و در سال 1397 مورد مطالعه قرار گرفته است. روش گردآوري اطلاعات كتابخانه اي و اينترنتي بوده و داده ها از طريق پرسشنامه استاندارد جمع آوري گرديده است. براي تحليل داده ها از مدلسازي معادلات ساختاري بهره برده ايم كه با استفاده از نرم افزار AMOS انجام شده است. نتايج حاصل از تجزيه و تحليل داده ها حاكي از آن است كه هوش هيجاني بر مديريت زمان تاثير مي گذارد. همچنين هوش هيجاني بر ابعاد ششگانه مديريت زمان تاثير مي گذارد. با توجه به نتايج پژوهش پيشنهاد مي شود تا مديران پروژه به هوش هيجاني توجه بسياري نشان دهند تا توانايي مديريت زمان افزايش يابد و عملكرد فردي به خودي خود بهبود يابد. واژگان كليدي: مديريت زمان، هوش هيجاني، مديريت پروژه

Abstract The purpose of this study is the investigation of the effect of the emotional intelligence and professional ethics on the time management ability of the projects managers. This research is conducted in the application-based format and among the different descriptive-surveyor methods, the correlation approach, which is based on the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), has been selected. The statistical population of this research is the managers of the construction projects in Shiraz, in which the number of the samples according to the Morgan’s table is 108 and it is studied in 2018. Data collection has been done according to library and internet, and data were collected through a standard questionnaire. Analyzing the data is carried out by the structural equation modeling (SEM) provided by AMOS software. The results obtained from data analysis reveal that, while emotional intelligence affects time management, professional ethics do not have any effect on that. The emotional intelligence also have an influence on the six dimensions of time management, but the professional ethics only affects the delegation of the authority. According to the results of the research, it is suggested that the project managers pay much attention to the emotional intelligence so as to increase the time management’s ability and as a result improving the individual performance.
