Bacterial DNA gyrase is an attractive target for the consideration of novel antibacterial candidates. In this study, some synthetic thiazole derivatives were investigated for its possible interaction with DNA gyrase target using molecular docking and quantum mechanical calculations. Hydrogen bonding interactions of these compounds could be responsible for their mechanism of action. This study assists us to gain a better insight for the rational design of more powerful and selective antibacterial agents.
