Various liquid dyes waste treatment have been developed. Among these physico-chemical methods like adsorption, electrochemical coagulation and photocatalytic decolourization. Among all these, adsorption is one of the methods, which is gaining attention because of its easy operations and versatility]1[. The purpose of this study was to optimize tartrazine dye removal from aqueous solutions by carbon nanotube using Response Surface Method and Central Composite Design methods. The batch experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of independent variables such as pH, dye concentration, dose of sorbent and contact time. For the experiment, Response Surface and Central Composite Design methods were applied to evaluate the effects of these variables. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used for statistical analysis. The optimum conditions for basic tartrazine dye removal were pH= 8, dye concentration= 23.75, absorbent dose= 0.016g and contact time= 26.25 min. The verified model is Quadratic and R-squared value of this Study was obtained to be 95.7%, The R-Squared Adjusted was obtained to be 91.0% and The Squared predicted R2 was obtained to be 70.00%.
