Mixing is a important part of any processes and gas-liquid mixing is one of the applicable mixingsystems. So, enhancement of mixing performance under minimum energy consumption is a veryinteresting matter in mechanical and chemical processes. The present study has focused onderiving a energy losing equation in a ultrasonic gas-liquid mixing system based on differentoperative parameters such as gas flow rate (Q), time of mixing (t), applied nominal ultrasonicpower (P), and cycle (T) using Design Of Experiments (DOE) and Response Surface Methodology(RSM). The ANOVA method was applied to clarify the main effective parameters and theirinteractions. Finally it was found that cycle of ultrasonic irradiation is the most important factor inthe present process and after that power of irradiation and mixing time are important.Also, for interaction terms only Tt,TP,TQ and tP terms are extremely significant and PQ term israrely significant and other intercation therms are not important. The quadratic terms T2 and t2 aresignificant.The research results suggest that controlling cycle can delimite the energy losing inultrasonic mixing process.
