Mathematical modeling of controlled release is essential because of its advantages in avoiding toxicity and safety, efficiency and to accelerate pharmaceutical products development. It is significantly important to design pharmaceutical systems that are able to deliver drug at constant rate for predetermined period of time. Generally, diffusion, degradation and dissolution are the most widely arising mechanisms in the controlled release systems in which the importance of diffusion as substantially mechanism is undeniable. In this study, exact solution of diffusional release from a cylindrical polymeric matrix to an infinite medium has been developed in which the initial solute loading (A) is greater than solubility limit (
