TiO2 nanostructures were synthesized quickly by hydrolysis of aqueous TiOSO4 solution in a microwave reactor. The products have been characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and UV absorption specthrophotometry. The results showed that the main effective parameters on the product morpholgy were microwave irradiation power and microwave irradiation time. TiO2 nanoparticles were synthsized by microwave irradiation with power 500W and irridiation time 30 min, while TiO2 nanorods were synthisized by irradiation with power 200W and time 120 min.
