The Role of Education and Extension in Organic Agricultural Development

تحقيق حاضر به منظور بررسي نقش و جايگاه آموزش و ترويج در توسعه كشاورزي ارگانيك به انجام رسيده است. يكي از چالش هاي فراروي جوامع امروزي، مسئله سلامت و كيفيت مواد غذايي است. آلودگي هاي محيط زيستي و كاهش ايمني مواد غذايي، به علت استفاده بي رويه از كودها و سموم شيميايي جهت تامين مواد غذايي مورد نياز جمعيت روزافزون بشر نگراني هاي بسياري را در سراسر جهان، برانگيخته است. بنابراين جوامع بين المللي درپي يافتن راهبردهاي مناسبي براي حل اين معضلات و دستيابي به نظام هاي كشاورزي پايدار مي باشند. يكي از اين راهبردها نظام كشاورزي ارگانيك است كه به عنوان رهيافتي نوين در مقابل نظام كشاورزي متداول قرار گرفته است. در اين راستا، ترويج كشاورزي به عنوان ارائه دهنده آگاهانه اطلاعات و ارتباطات حمايتي براي روستاييان و بهره برداران منابع طبيعي، مي تواند نقش بسزايي در توسعه كشاورزي ارگانيك داشته باشد. بنابراين مقاله حاضر در پي آن است تا به شيوه مروري و با استفاده از مطالعات كتابخانه اي، به بيان مفاهيم كشاورزي ارگانيك، اهداف و راهكارهاي رسيدن به توسعه آن، با توجه به نقش و اهميت ترويج، به عنوان يكي از جنبه هاي مهم توسعه كشاورزي، بپردازد.

The present research has been conducted to study the role and position of education and extension in organic agriculture. One of the challenges facing the modern societies is the issue of health and quality of food. The environmental pollution and reduced food safety cause many concerns around the world due to the excessive fertilizers usage and chemical pesticides to supply the food required by a growing human population. Therefore, the international societies are finding desired strategies for solving these problems and obtaining sustainable agricultural systems, as well. One of these strategies is the organic agricultural system, which has become a novel approach to the common agricultural system. In this regard, as an informed information supplier and communication support for villagers and natural resource users, the agricultural extension can play a significant role in the development of organic agriculture. Thus, by reviewing and using the library studies, the present research explains the concepts of organic agriculture, its goals and solutions for its development, by its role and importance of extension as one of the most important aspects of agricultural development.
