In this paper the stability of both isotropic and composite laminated plates with different boundary conditions is studied by finite layer method this method that is an extension of the well known finite element method efficiently transformed three dimensional problem into one dimensional because of the trigonometric rpopertiesby assuming u,v,w and using energy approach for each layer the stiffness and geometry matrices are obtained.
