The present paper is concerned to production of low aromatic normal paraffin content. Normal paraffin heart-cut with
carbon distribution between C10 to C13 were using to produce linear alkyl-benzene and many other petrochemical
product. HF alkylation process utilizing normal paraffin with high aromatic content has a lot of environmental problems
such as biodegradable of LAB product, thus new alkylation processes use low aromatic normal paraffin. The following
research expresses the investigation result at an industrial plant to aim of reduction of aromatic components using three
component solvent in normal paraffin product. UOP Molex process with two components solvent uses for separation of
normal paraffin from other non-normal paraffin. At best conditions the above mentioned process will lead to produced
normal paraffin with 0.5wt percent aromatic content. The results of expand Library study showed that for reduction of
aromatic content to less than 0.2wt percent need to use of Para-Xylene as third solvent component. Then in continue the
quantity of requirement Para-Xylene determined and new operating conditions predicted by HYSYS Software. After
that third solvent injected to Molex unit and operation controlled with new conditions. The results of aromatic content
value after injection of Para-Xylene against two components solvent and the benefits of low aromatic product are
presented in result and conclusion sections.
