Nano composites using thermosetting polymers have not been studied so extensively, particularly using TiO2 particles
as reinforcing agent. The objective of this research work, was to fabricate epoxy-based nano composites containing
various amounts of TiO2 nano particles and thus see the effect of reinforcement loading on hardness. The experimental
data indicated that, hardness of the composites increased nonlinearly with increasing the concentration of nano TiO2
particles and also with respect to the neat resin system. Hardness data also indicated that the time-dependent hardness of
the composites was not affected by the filler content.
