The importance and position of education in the civilization of Islam and Iran

تعليم و تربيت، آموزاندن دانش و پروردن جسم و جان شاگرد و رساندن وي به مرتبه متعالي‌تر است.‌ در دوره اسلامي، آشنايي با سرچشمه‌هاي معرفت ديني مانند قرآن و سنت محور اصلي تعليم و تربيت بود. نخستين آيات نازل شده بر پيامبر (ص) ناظر بر خواندن و تعليم بود. در احاديث نبوي نيز اندرزهاي بسيار درباره علم‌اندوزي به چشم مي‌خورد، از جمله آنكه «اُطلبوا العِلْم وَلو بِالصين؛ دانش بجوييد حتي اگر در چين. از ديدگاه علماي اسلام، هدف از آنچه كه اصطلاحاً تربيت اسلامي ناميده مي‌شود، آن است كه متعلم از گرويدن به رذايل نهي شود و به مباني و احكام شرع خو بگيرد و خود را به زيور فضايلي كه در آموزه‌هاي ديني بر آن تأكيد شده است، بيارايد. اين پژوهش كيفي با استفاده از مطالعات اسنادي و كتابخانه اي به بررسي روش هاي تعليمي پيامبر و امامان معصوم و نيز مراكز تعليم و تربيت در تمدن اسلام و ايران نظير مسجد، زاويه، مكتب و مدرسه مي پردازد.

Abstract Education is teaching knowledge and cultivating the body and soul of the student and bringing him to a higher level. In the Islamic period, familiarity with the sources of religious knowledge such as the Qur an and Hadith was the main focus of education. The first verses revealed to the Prophet (PBUH) were about reading and teaching. There are many advices about learning knowledge in the hadiths of the Prophet, such as: Seek knowledge even if in China. From the point of view of Islamic scholars, the purpose of what is called Islamic education is to prevent the learner from believing in vices and to become accustomed to the principles and rules of the Shari a and to adorn himself with the ornaments of virtues that are emphasized in religious teachings. This qualitative research uses documentary and library studies to study the teaching methods of the Prophet and the infallible Imams as well as education centers in Islamic and Iranian civilization such as mosque, Zaviyeh and school.
