در اين تحقيق امكان سنجي بكارگيري گِلِ قرمز (پسماند كارخانه توليد آلومينا) به عنوان كاتاليست براي رشد نانولوله كربن مورد مطالعه قرار گرفته است. در سال ها اخير، پيشرفت در روشهاي توليد نانولوله هاي كربني قابليت هاي كنترل زيادي بر انواع خواص سطحي و بالك ماده امكان پذيرشده است، از موفق ترين روش ها رسوب دهي بخار شيميايي است،
چكيده لاتين :
In this research, the feasibility usage of red mud (alumina plant waste) has been studied as a catalyst for the growth of carbon nanotubes. In recent years, progress in manufacturing carbon nanotube has been made to achieve the control of a large number of surface properties and material bulk. One of the most successful methods is chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Red mud is a solid waste residue formed during the production of alumina. Red mud is a highly alkaline waste material; and for each ton of alumina produced is usually one or two tons of red mud was produced. This solid waste causes a significant impact on the environment. Synthesis and characterization of carbon nanotubes on the waste of the Bayer s process (red mud) was evaluated by various tests, due to the red mud tailings dam of Jajarm alumina factory in Iran and the growing need of industries to carbon nanotubes. By selecting the appropriate temperature of about 750 ° C, the red mud regenerates under the methane gas and begins to decompose and the metal oxides in it are converted to free active metals and was acted as a catalyst and Encourage carbon deposition and due to simultaneous decomposition of methane its growth as nanotubes. Raman spectra analysis was used to study the quality and degree of graphitization of red mud. According to (FESEM) and (TEM) results, the CNTs grown on red mud have an average diameter of)20-30) nm. . In this research, yield of carbon nanotubes was about48% at 750°C.
