Interactive Graphics Applications In Smart Cities

In recent years, the success of smart cities mainly not only depends on the capability of infrastructures but also on the efficiency of data and information communication. The advent of smartness in the urban realm shows that we have entered into an era in which information and communication technologies control the whole city and its user’s lifestyle; then interaction and communication are an inevitable part of the modern era. Interactive graphics as an intermediating element between the smart system and user plays a crucial role. Interactive graphics use their creativity to design user interfaces to convey information and make them comprehensible. This article has tried to study the footprints and applications of interactive graphics in smart cities and how they can help them to perform efficiently. The discussion aims to create useful information for designers and engineers to consider the interactive graphics and its domain use in designing smart and connected urban spaces.
