In this paper, graphene oxide (GO) was synthesizes by chemical oxidation and exfoliation of graphite. Structure of GO was confirmed by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and X-ray Diffraction (XRD). GO was applied as adsorbent for cationic dye removal from binary system wastewater. In order to investigate the mechanism of adsorption, various kinetic models were applied. The results showed that the adsorption process follow a pseudo-second order kinetic model. The isotherm studies indicated that the adsorption data can be represented by Langmuir isotherm.
