In this paper, we consider the anti-invariant submanifolds of trans-Sasakian manifolds and prove that trans-Sasakianmanifolds which have non-trivial anti-invariant submanifolds areβ-Kenmotsu. We also show that recurrent and 2-recurrent antiinvariant submanifolds of trans-Sasakian manifolds are totally geodesic.
