In this paper a stable numerical scheme for solving the two-dimensional time-fractional Burgers equation is presented. We use the hybridized discontinuous Galerkin method and the L1 algorithm for spatial and temporal discretization, respectively. The stability analysis of the method is investigated through a theorem. Moreover, in an example, we show that the expected temporal and spatial order is obtained by approximation solutions.
