ON A SUBCLASS OF RETRACTABLE MODULES

Let M and N be two non-zero right R−modules, M is called subhomomorphic to N in case there exist R−homomorphisms f : M → N, g : N → M such that gof is non-zero, and M is called self-subhomomorphic in case every non-zero submodule N of M is subhomomorphic to M. The class of self-subhomomorphic modules properly lies between weakly compressible and retractable modules. In this paper we introduce and investigate subhomomorphic property.
