Blockchain based transactions have led to a proliferation of peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading projects, which allow the neighbors to exchange energy between each other without any intervention of a conventional intermediary in the transactions. Nevertheless, there is too little attention to the technical constraints of the network under the above mentioned issues such as voltage limitations and line congestion. A significant challenge to implement P2P infrastructures is to considering network constraints, which must not be violated during the energy transactions. This paper introduces a P2P transaction method based on users’ electrical distance and voltage sensitivity analysis to make sure that P2P energy transactions are economic and do not violate network constraints. Also, the security of P2P trades is guaranteed by blockchain protocols. Finally, the market is cleared using Continuous Double Auction (CDA) method. The proposed method is carried out on IEEE 9-bus test system and simulation results illustrate that our method ensures that energy exchange between peers is economic and does not violate the network constraints.
