3D printing has accelerated many research fields, including tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and the production and development of drugs. In general, bio-3D printers use the layer-by-layer method to create structures using materials called bio-ink. Bio-inks, especially hydrogels, play a very crucial role in 3D printing of cells. Their properties should be such that is suitable for the printer and its printing method and conditions, as well as proper mechanical and biological properties for biological and therapeutical applications. So, designing the applicable bio-ink can be pretty challenging. In this project, we want to investigate the bio-inks based on alginate and gelatin that are crosslinked by thiol-ene reactions.
