The increasing demand for plastic materials over the past two decades has resulted in a significant accumulation of plastic waste in the environment. In this study, thermal pyrolysis of polypropylene plastic was carried out at different temperatures including 525, 550, and 575 °C using a stainless-steel fixed bed reactor. The results shows that polypropylene plastic can be efficiently decomposed and converted into valuable and desirable products. The results describe that the highest liquid fuel yield obtained from the pyrolysis process of polypropylene is at a temperature of 525 °C. The amount of liquid fuel obtained at this temperature is 0.927 g. This study highlights the crucial role of investigating operating parameters, such as temperature, in thermal pyrolysis for producing valuable fuels and reducing the accumulation of plastic waste and environmental pollution.
