ارتباط صنعت با دانشگاه پديده اي جديد و نو نيست. حتي اگر سازوكارهاي آن قدمتي جديد داشته باشد؛ اما عمق اين ارتباط به تأسيس اولين دانشگاه دنيا بر مي گردد، زماني كه از افراد تازه فارغ التحصيل انتظار مي رفت تا بتوانند نقش موثري بر صنعت و جامعه خود داشته باشند. اين مقاله به آسيب شناسي ارتباط صنعت با دانشگاه ها پرداخته است، تا بررسي كند علي رغم تلاش هاي افراد شاغل در اين بخش و عملكرد خوبي كه در بعضي دانشگاه ها شاهد هستيم، علل ضعف كلي اين بخش تحت تأثير عوامل مختلفي قرار مي گيرد كه درصورت اصلاح و بهبود مي توانند نقش بسيار مهمي در بهبود وضعيت هم دانشگاه و هم صنعت و هم جامعه داشته باشند، روش تحقيق در اين مطالعه كيفي و جمع آوري اطلاعات كتابخانه اي است.
