There are many thematic similarities between contemporary Iranian poets and the literature of American transcendence, which indicates the common literary tendencies between writers and poets who have emerged in different geographical areas and lands or in different historical periods. And comparative studies of the literature of different nations can pave the way for greater understanding and empathy on intellectual and cultural issues. American transcendence was formed as a literary, social, cultural, religious, and philosophical movement against the conventional and institutional rules of society, with writers and poets such as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Henry David Thoreau. Literally, they wanted a free, unfettered style that embraced the content of nature and the natural nature of human beings. They were socially opposed to the glamor of the consumer society. In the present article, an attempt has been made to examine the perspective similarities between the works of American transcendentalists and the poems of contemporary Iranian poets. And we try to show how Iranian poets have been influenced by poets from European countries, including France and Britain, and especially the United States, and have written poetry in their style.
