Aim and Background: The production of suitable protection against X-rays has attracted the attention of many researchers due to its many applications in industry and medicine . Methods: to Production of X-ray shielding, was performed using PVC polymer nanofibers containing different concentrations of WO3 (10-35) wt.% by electrospinning. In order to achieve suitable X-ray shielding, thickness, linear attenuation coefficient and half-value layer of produced samples were investigated. A scanning electron microscope(SEM) was used to characteristic the morphology of the nanofiber surface. The ability of X-ray attenuation of the electrospun samples was determined using the X-RF unit at different voltages (20-35 KV). Results and discussion: Based on this research, the attenuation coefficient of the produced samples was compared with XCOM prediction and all the electrospun samples had a higher linear attenuation coefficient. Also the sample with 35%wt. filler had the highest linear attenuation coefficient and the lowest half value layer. Conclusion: Polymer composites that are produced by electrospinning method can be a good protection against gamma rays
