The piezocatalysis, a phenomenon of vibration exciting chemical reaction, is a promising water purification technology. In this project, the effect of BiFeO3/Bi2WO6 nanocomposite was estimated through the decomposition of the methyl orange dye MO). The results reveal that the BiFeO3/ Bi2WO6 (80:20) nanocomposite facilitates) the degradation efficiency of MO solution compared to pristine BiFeO3 and Bi2WO6. The enhancement is attributed to the electric field in the heterojunction which can separate the charge carriers effectively
