روند رو به رشد شهرنشيني امري اجتناب‌ناپذير است كه در صورت عدم توجه به پيامدهاي آن، منجر به نابودي ساختار طبيعي شهرها در اثر افزايش نتايج مخرب حاصل از رشد و توسعه شهرها مي‌گردد. كشاورزي شهري پديده‌اي است كه در سال‌هاي اخير به‌منظور مقابله با اثرات مخرب زيست‌محيطي شهرها مطرح شده است. از اين‌رو، موضوع كشاورزي شهري مي‌بايست مورد توجه برنامه‌ريزان و مديران شهري قرار گيرد تا با تركيب پديده مذكور با ساير فعاليت‌هاي موجود در شهر، علاوه‌بر حفظ و ارتقاء ساختار طبيعي شهرها، گامي مؤثر در جهت كاهش اثرات مخرب رشد و توسعه شهرها برداشت. با عنايت به اين مهم، طرح‌ريزي راهبردي كشاورزي شهري بر بهبود كيفيت زيست‌محيطي شهرها به‌عنوان هدف اصلي تحقيق در نظر گرفته مي‌شود. پژوهش حاضر، به شيوه توصيفي- تحليلي و بر مبناي مطالعات كتابخانه‌اي به انجام رسيده است. يافته‌هاي پژوهش حاكي از آن است كه، كشاورزي شهري افزون‌بر ارتقاء تعاملات اجتماعي، زمينه‌ساز توسعه اكولوژيك شهر خواهد شد. در اين ميان، آموزش‌هاي كوتاه‌مدت به شهروندان به‌منظور آشنايي با اصول اوليه كشاورزي در فضاهاي مشخص‌شده توسط سازمان‌هاي محلي و نيز آموزش‌هاي دوره‌اي در مدارس براي دانش‌آموزان، مي‌تواند نقش مهمي در توسعه اين فعاليت در سطح شهرها داشته باشد.

The growing trend of urbanization is an inevitable thing that, if not paying attention to its consequences, will lead to the destruction of the natural structure of cities due to the increase of destructive results resulting from the growth and development of cities. Urban agriculture is a phenomenon that has been proposed in recent years to deal with the destructive environmental effects of cities. Therefore, the issue of urban agriculture should be given the attention of urban planners and managers, so that combining the mentioned phenomenon with other activities in the city, in addition to preserving and improving the natural structure of cities, is an effective step towards reducing the destructive effects of the growth and development of cities. harvest. Considering this importance, the strategic planning of urban agriculture to improve the environmental quality of cities is considered the main goal of the research. The current research has been done in a descriptive-analytical way and based on library studies. The findings of the research indicate that, in addition to promoting social interactions, urban agriculture will become the basis for the ecological development of the city. In the meantime, short-term training for citizens to familiarize themselves with the basic principles of agriculture in areas specified by local organizations, as well as long-term training in schools for students, can play an important role in the development of this activity at the city level.
