In this study, β-Ni(OH)2 nanostructure was fabricated through a facile method and its application as adsorbent for dye removal wastewater was investigated. The characteristics results of FTIR, SEM, and XRD showed that nanostructure was successfully prepared. Basic Yellow 13 (BY13) and Basic Violet 16 (BV16) were used as cationic dyes. The adsorption process was investigated using by kinetic and isotherm models. The result of kinetic studies corresponded to pseudo-second order model. Dye removal isotherm was fitted with Langmuir model for BY13 and BV16.
